   Since 1842 The Limeport Inn has been a stopping off point for so many people on so many different journeys. Whether travelers between Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley resting their horses and having a meal and a good nights rest before continuing on their way. Or weary sailors biding their time as their  great wooden ships were be loaded with fresh limes bound for the distant ports of the mid west. The “Limeport” was there for them.

   Now days, the trip from “Philly” to the “Valley” doesn’t necessarily require a stop in between.  And the great wooden ships in the port and the endless waves of lime groves are a distant memory. But the “Limeport” is still there.  Different times, different people, but not so different reasons for stopping by. A great meal, drinks with friends you bring or new ones you meet there, a place to relax and be yourself.
